Long Post that is long overdue:
We flew all of the way to Vegas to do this....
We got into Vegas late (well early by Vegas standards) so we just got some dinner across the street and brought it back to the hotel and Scott watched some [basketball]. There were so many great things about our room at the Riviera yet there were some downsides. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on and the room was very big and remodeled with really nice decor. I loved that the window was not right next to the bed. It was around a corner in a little nitch with a desk allowing for some sleeping in. The downside was that it backed up to the elevator which was going constantly. My mom had warned me about this since they were there a couple weeks before us and probably had the same room, but I figured with my Tylenol PM and my earplugs I would be fine, but the earplugs really did not block out any noise. Anyways I was really tired when bedtime came every night so it ended up being ok.
The first day was spent {walking and walking and walking} until we could walk no more. I had never seen the whole strip scene so we were just going to walk up and down the strip to see it all.

This was the Eiffel Tower, or atleast as close as I will ever be to the real one. Good enough for me! We took the ride to the top and it was a great view.
snow on the mountains...
the Belaggio fountains from above...
I just had to take a pitcure of this bathroom in the hotel because I loved how it was decorated!
The sink bowls were so neat. Of course I love the {blue}.
I believe this was also the Paris hotel, maybe the Venetian and just about the coolest thing I saw while I was there (ya Scott said I am a dork).

That's the Bumble Bee Transformer, although I just watched the movie again and I am not sure they actually used any real models in the movie. There was no sign or anything, but it was gone the next day. I loved it! These are the MGM lions.
It turned out that the only night that we would have been able to see the shows would have been the first night we got there. It was super super windy. Seriously, so windy I could barely walk, I have never been anywhere with that much wind. So of course the outside shows were canceled every night. We were able to catch the Belaggio fountains on Saturday during the day before we left.
M&M world. 4 floors of M&M's stuff!

The Statue of Liberty at the New York New York Hotel.
Friday night we went to the Tournament of the Kings at the Excalibur. The food was not good at all, but I really liked the show. I loved the horses and it was really close. We could not take pictures during the show so these were of us before...

So those were all of the pictures I had because I was sick of carrying my camera and purse after the first day, but we did/saw more things such as....
Stratosphere-Supposedly the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. Scott went to the very top and did the rides and I could barely walk out on the observation deck. It was exremely windy and I was sure that I was going to get blown off the edge. I had to sit on these couches that look out this glass and I had sweaty palms the whole time which seemed like an hour while Scott did the rides. There were these signs that said do not lean on the glass (it was tilted out) and it made me so nervous just to watch people touching it. Needless to say I am pretty scared of heights.
The Mirage-We went to the dolphin, white tiger and lion exhibit which was pretty neat. The lions were huge with huge manes, nothing like the MGM lions. There were white tigers with white tiger babies and they were really cute. The lady said that they are owned by Sigfreid and Roy and they visit them often. The dolphins were cute but they do not do a show with them or anything since they are research based or something like that [lame].
Treasure Island- Like I said we missed out on their show out front, but we did eat at their buffet one night and it was pretty good. The food was ok tasting but lots of choices and freshly made pastas and sauces right in front of you, but let me tell you their dessert choices were awesome. They even had freshly made cotton candy-one of my faves. They had all of these miniature pies and everything-yummmmm.
So after we "experienced" the strip by walking up it we said to heck with that and had bus passes the rest of the time, but there was still tons of walking involved. I am pretty sure I lost 5lbs from all of the walking we did. Our whole trip was full of walking to places that were closed, or really far when the sign said they were right there. We walked and walked and walked. We did so much walking I did not even want to do any shopping besides the fact that all of the shopping there is too rich for my blood.
It was a nice get away for us without kids. We should do that more often.
