Summer Checklist

I think we did pretty good with our list of 50 things to do this summer!  We didn't make volcanoes this summer but we did today so we can check that off and we didn't make it to great grandpas which is so ridiculous, too hot for the drive-ins, too hot for batting cages and we have way too many Wii games.  All excuses but all around we did a lot of fun things this summer on the list or not!

Scott, being Scott, suggested to the kids that they scoot the trampoline up to the pool and jump in that way.  After a while he decided that might not have been the best idea and had them scoot it away before someone got hurt, but now they do it on their own.  Of course it was fun!

Cotton Candy

You probably all know by now that I LOVE cotton candy so I couldn't resist the machine when it was on sale for a good deal!  The kids were so excited begging me every day.  You can use cotton candy stuff or hard candies and we used jolly ranchers.  The bathes were kind of small but we will try it with the actual stuff next time.

Saturday morning I was up reading (no surprise) when there were a ton of geese on the pier....

Ummm.  I think Scott took these pictures being that there is one of me.  The kids made sure to make a sand castle because it was on the list of things to do this summer!

Every day when I was up (way before everyone else) and reading by the water (ahhhhh glorious) this guy was on the pier every morning.  If you walked out there he would swim off a little but come right back when you left.  I read 3 books on this trip.  It was great and relaxing.

Boating on Bear Lake

One of the benefits of having the water up is that we got to launch the boat right off the pier/dock whatever, whenever we wanted.  Scott insisted we took it out just about every day but would get mad when no one wanted to do anything-LOL.  Macey was not feeling good but Scott was insistent that Macey and Emmy were going to ski and/or wakeboard.  Macey tried both and Emmy tried skiing.  Both of them were so close and even getting up for a few seconds, but gave up and just wanted to get in the boat.  We took the boat across the whole lake one day since we had never done that.  We always just stay kind of right in front of the cabin.  It was a nice relaxing drive.  Scott was bored. Of course, but we loved it.  We loved watching the ducks duck and go under as we headed their way.
