What the Heck Melody

I am not sure why blogging has seemed like such a chore to me lately, resulting in procrastination. Could it be because...
A. I have 2 birthdays and more to post?
B. My camera battery needed charged?
C. I have to get the pictures off of my camera in order to post what I want to?
D. I have been up to lots of projects on my to do list, one of which involved a lot of time on the computer so I am kind of (just kind of) sick of the computer and being creative on it?
E. All of the Above

You got it. E is the answer. I am intending on posting the recent happenings in the morning, before the festivities begin, since most of my Thanksgiving assignments are already made and in the fridge and I will be able to relax (?, not sure if that will happen like I hope since Scott will be gone all morning playing football and I have to get all of the kids and food ready for the day all by myself. ugggh).

FYI-Claire and I are still in our pajamas. Ya still, but hey its almost time for bed so what's the point now? One of those days that was not worth dressing for.

Looking forward to some good grub, relaxing with family (who are also friends), some major crafting which also necessitates a trip to Scrapbook, Etc. and Hobby Lobby (aaahhhh can you hear the angels singing?), and the rain! The rain is just the icing on the cake!

Meeting the Cullens

Strawberry Lemonade.................... $3
Boneless Buffalo Wings ....................$9
Candy from CircleK .........................$14 (for me and my sisters)
Movie Ticket ....................................$7
Crappy seats .....................................Free with ticket

Meeting the Cullens on the big screen. Priceless.

OK, so, I totally {loved} the movie even though, just as I suspected, the overall thoughts and feelings of the book were not able to be conveyed in the movie and there were several spots I thought were weird. It kept me awake, which is difficult at midnight, but I was not about to hear about it on other people's blogs wondering when I would be able to see it, so I just did it. About 1/4 of the way through I started getting ancy for when the next movies would come out. It will seem like forever! It was so funny to see the characters they picked and then as soon as they introduced them you could laugh because you knew how they were in the book. Probably not Oscar worthy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Here is something I enjoyed from a friends blog...

Normal guys vs. Edward Cullen
A normal guy would say: “I love you Baby!”
Edward Cullen would say: “You are my life now.”

Normal Guy would say: “I think I am falling for you.”
Edward Cullen would say: “The Lion fell in Love with the Lamb”

Normal Guy would say: “You hair looks like a haystack; go brush it!”
Edward Cullen would say: “Your hair looks like a haystack but I like it.”

A normal guy would pick a random song from a random artist and dedicate it to you.
Edward Cullen would sing you a song he wrote for you while playing the piano.

If you die, a normal guy would find another.
If you die, Edward would kill himself cause life without you isn’t worth living.“Well, I wasn’t going to live without you..” He rolled his eyes as if that fact were childishly obvious. “..but I wasn’t sure how to do it. I knew Emmet and Jasper would never help so I was thinking maybe I would go to Italy and do something to provoke the Volturi.”

As you leave the house, a normal guy would say: “Bye, see ya!”
As you leave the house Edward Cullen would say: “Come back to me, love.”He smiled my favorite smile. “Hurry back to me.”“Always.”As you come back to the house, a normal guy would be watching TV and wouldn’t even notice. As you come back to the house, Edward Cullen would be welcoming you by playing the piano with a song just for you.“I heard the music before I was out of the car. Edward hadn’t touched his piano since the night Alice left. Now, as I shut the door, I heard the song morph through a bridge and change into my lullaby. Edward was welcoming me home.’

A normal guy would wait for you to make him breakfast.
Edward Cullen would make you breakfast everyday.

While you are both out for dinner, a normal guy wouldn’t keep his eyes off the sexy waitress.
Edward Cullen wouldn’t even notice the waitress was a female.

A normal guy, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and one hand on the radio.
Edward Cullen, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and the other attached to yours.

While far apart in different places, a normal guy would say: “I miss you.”
While far apart in different places,Edward Cullen would say: “It’s like you’ve taken half myself with you”

A normal guy wouldn’t care or notice if you had nightmares.
Edward Cullen would sing until your nightmares went away.“Do you want me to sing to you? I’ll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away.”

A normal guy buys you flowers and chocolates.
Edward Cullen buys you a car.

I've got Mail

I love it when there is exciting mail for me!
It's like Christmas!

Back in Business

I finally took the time (a lot of kid free time was needed) to move my stuff back in to the closet and put away. Ahhh. Feels good to be able to access all of my stuff to craft as I please! It's an organized mess and I know where everyhing is now and what I have. I have lots of projects in mind. Time to get started!

Potty Training-NOT!

I was half attempting to get Tate to go to the bathroom in the toilet and I put him in some underwear which he is less than impressed with even though it is "Cars". Like he usually does, he said he was going to go potty in the toilet. So I go in there and Tate just moves all around, getting up and down and just sitting there. I was losing my patience as Claire started to try to play in the toilet so I say to Tate, "Are you going to go potty in the toilet or not?". Tate replies, "not". What? NOT? Argghh. That boy is {not so funny} today!

On one had I am ready to get him potty trained because I am sick of changing his diapers, but on the other had I am not ready. I am not ready to enter that world of potty training that involves cleaning up accidents, running to the bathroom as my cart is half full and still shopping, remembering to remind him to go, cleaning the bathroom after a little boy, etc. I am seriously just waiting for him to do it on his own. However, my confidence that that will happen is starting to dwindle. I am just {hoping} he surprises me one day.

Funny for the Day

So, the goal for today was church shoes for Macey, Emmy and Tate. Only one of which was acheived, Emmy's shoes which is good because she really really needed them. So, on our approach to the Super Target [they are all super to me] Tate start's frantically yelling something over and over. I could defintately decipher the apple part of what he was saying and then I put it together and he was saying Applebee's. What? Where in the world did that come from? I rarely ever eat at Applebee's and I can remember that last two times I have eaten there and he was never there. Can he read? No just kidding, but we were all in shock that he new what that was. {{Funny Boy}}

Christmas Lists

Scott told the kids to make Christmas lists yesterday and I noticed Macey's on the fridge today. I was laughing so hard at the first item. My kids never really know what they want except they always want a cell phone-ya right! They usually go through the ads and list things they see and like at that moment. This list came from the Target and Wal Mart toy books that were in the paper yesterday.

Good-Bye Billy Ray Cyrus Hello Dolly

I was sick of the crazy, uneven, grow out mullet so Claire got her 1st haircut today! I thought I did pretty good.
Who's next? Macey? Emmy?

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like....

Christmas! Does anyone else feel like skipping right over Thanksgiving and straight to Christmas? Don't know what it is this year, but I am just itching to get my Christmas decorations out already.
Went on a date with my hubby tonight only to find Christmas Music on KEZ already! [I guess I didn't win the $5,000. darn it.] I am usually in no hurry, but the other day I was listening to some of my CD's and really wanted to play some of my Christmas ones, but I resisted. Can you ever get sick of Christmas music? I don't think so. Already eyeing some more CD's to add to my collection.

Part of our date consisted of Christmas shopping. Feels good to get some more done and I am feeling confident in achieving our goal to be done before December! The holiday season is always so busy, rushed and stressed for me and I know it effects the kids and our whole house so I am determined to change that this year and every year from now on. {{Simplify}} Focus on what really matters.

Somehow our discussion along the way turned to this...Hot Wheels or Matchbox? Scott says Hotwheels and I say Matchbox. I was quite impressed with the construction and weight of the Matchbox cars that we won at Bingo the other night (amazingly I have never really bought Tate any cars so I am not schooled in this subject, they just appear or Scott has bought them I guess). Scott went with the argument that the Hot Wheels section is bigger than the Matchbox section so they must be better. Kind of like the Mayo vs. Miracle Whip argument, a matter of taste. Hmmmmm.

*Wrapping Up* Halloween 2008

It all started with
Emmy's School PaRTy

Then the Trunk-or-Treat

No pictures, but I went as myself [ANGEL]

...

Trick-or-Treating around the neighborhood, which did not go very long. The kids were done for the night.

...

Grandma Phillips' Halloween Party

(our family has scheduling issues so the day after was the only option)

My 2nd Book Report

FRONT
BACK

RIGHT SIDE

LEFT SIDE

We stayed up really late getting it finished to turn in the next day. The last book report got turned in so early that I waited way too long to start this one. It's looking like we will have one of these every month! We already got the packet for the next one. Arrggghh!

Pre-Dinner Treat

{10/29} One of those silent [yay!!!!] moments for a mom when your child is sneaking some vegetables before dinner! Tate climbed on this bus toy with wheels (no, not very safe) and stayed here eating veggies and dip for quite a while. Either he was starving or my presentation (actually putting them out on platters and such) was just to enticing to resist. Everyone seemed to be grabbing some veggies as I was finishing up the rest of the dinner so I guess I should put veggies out as an appetizer more often. This night was an empty out the fridge night..I had crescent rolls, mozzarella, and ham so I made a breakfast casserole and then I put out the veggies I had, grapes and a few avocados. I loved this {simple} meal that was pretty healthy!
