Another idea from Pinterest...

Apparently this person didn't like all of the traffic on their blog because it's private now, but I still have the pic!  I gathered frames and mirrors and here is my interpretation (crappy pic).....

I love to look at it and I just love it! 

I am also quite proud of my ability to do something that is not asymmetric!

Enchanted Island

For Christmas grandpa and grandma Williamson gave all of the grandkids in town certificates to Enchanted Island in Encanto Park plus $10 to spend how they wished.  So we took them all at the same time (minus Jeff and Amy who were home with the Williamson curse:( )

There were bumper boats just for the little kids, they loved it!

There was a booth where every time you played you won so basically the kids all bought these inflatable things, plus a fudge bar...

In Encanto park there were paddle boats and I was up for a 30 minute workout with Macey and Emmy which ended up being an hour because some other people wanted to do it too, but there had to be an adult on the boat and that ended up being me the whole time!

IT was a good time!

Christmas 2011

This year CHRISTmas fell on a Sunday.  We woke up and opened presents as usual.  Then we headed over to grandpa and grandma Phillips' house for our Christmas breakfast.  It's always fun to get together and see and hear what everyone got.  Here are the kids opening their presents from grandma and grandpa...

THen we headed home to get ready for church.  WE only had sacrament meeting for the day and it was the Christmas program by the choir.  So appropriate for the day!

This is where any normal family would insert a family picture of us all dressed up on Christmas day, but not us.  Apparently that's too much to ask of this family.

Then after we got home grandpa and grandma Williamson came over to visit.  I put a ham and potatoes in the oven.  We enjoyed a great dinner and then headed out to see some Christmas lights and visit the Watsons to see how their Christmas was.

It was a great day.  Now on to winter break and New Years!

Williamson Christmas Party 2011

We hosted the Williamson Christmas party this year.  It involved eating lot's of good food, a talent show (emceed by Todd and Tyler), kids acting out the Nativity, cousins gift exchange and the adult white elephant style gift exchange. 

It also included this serenade from my SIL's dad who is in town awaiting the arrival of her baby!  And yes, he is an Elvis impersonator.

Class Parties

TOday was a busy day of class parties all around.  First was Claire's preschool party where they did a little gift exchange with the kids.  Claire had Kenli and Addy had Claire.  The kids loved giving gifts.  Then we had pizza and treats.

 Then Claire and I headed to the school to help out at Emm's class party.  They did a lot of activities and made several things and had lots of goodies.  Claire lucked out and they had extra for her to do to.  They are painting some stained glass paint on a penguin thermometer.

Then at the end of the day we headed to Tate's class to grab a picture for the yearbook of the kids in their PJ's and their bells after watching the Polar Express.

Downs Christmas Party

I didn't get a chance to take many pictures because I was playing the piano for part of the activities.  WE sang some Christmas songs and then whoever wanted to, performed their talents.  THere were some really great performances.  It was a great party put on by my ailing grandma.  We love her as the matriarch of the Downs family and all that she does.

Santa Came to Town

Grandma Phillips called Santa and requested he attend the Phillips Christmas party and he showed up!  The kids love it!  The kids also did a craft, making a door hanger while the adults did their gift exchange.  Of course there was yummy soup and bread bowls to be devoured too!

Kindergarten Awards Assembly

Kindergarten did their own assembly to give the kids their awards for the first semester.  There were several different awards and everyone got one.  Tate got Math Superstar for his ability to recognize and write his numbers.

For Activity days the girls went to mutual for Maigan Hall's YW project.  They had a fashion show at the end for all of us.

Pomegranates

We love pomegranates around here!  Our friends brought over a huge bag of them for us!  So we took the time to get the seeds out of all of them to eat and freeze.  All of the girls were in on the action.

Claire {4}

Claire turns 4! 

At {4} Claire...

-loves to color and draw

-enjoys her preschool group

-is very obedient

-is neat and frequently cleans up without asking

-says the funniest things

-is my baby!  I tell her all of the time that she's my baby and she says no because she can walk.

This year her birthday fell on Thanksgiving so she got a pie at grandma and granpa Williamsons instead of a cake!
