An "embed" Video Tutorial for Dummies

****By a dummy****

I realize I am a little slow/ameteur..

technology/computer wise

but...

I just realized/figured how to embed a video

so I thought I'd share in case anyone else is lost too!

1.  You can get the "embed" code from Youtube when you look up a video or if you see a video you can right click in the upper right corner and "copy embed html"

2.  You want to copy that mumbo jumbo.

3.  Then you open a "new post" on blogger and there is a tab above the space where you would type your post that says "Edit HTML".  Now, whenever I think "Edit HTML" that sounds scary and I feel like I am going to do something wrong and the whole blog is going to be messed up-not true-this is so easy!

4.  Go to the "Edit HTML" tab and paste all of that embed mumbo jumbo and then go to the "compose" tab and continue typing and composing your post until satisfied and wallah!

I know it is super simple-why didn't I know this before?
And maybe I didn't use all of the right termanology because I don't really know what I am talking about, but it worked!

Now go try it with this video because I love it!

A Lazy Saturday Craft

for Macey and Emmy....

Scott and I were both amazed at the landscaping of Disneyland....
A moose
A giraffe
an elephant-you can also see the rhino with a bird on it next to the giraffe

My favorite, the lion
and there were more..a zebra, dolphins and much more!  It's just so hard to look at everything and believe that they make enough money to pay for the numerous employees, power, water and everything else it takes, but they probably make enough and more!

I loved these colors-all out of plants and succulents
This isn't landscaping, but I loved the composition of these numbers on "It's a Small World" so of course I took a picture of them!

The Happiest Place on Earth

It was up in the air and the day we were going to go kept changing, but we knew we wanted the weather and lack of crowds found in February so we were running out of chances.  We were set to head over Friday after school, but due to the weather forcast we decided Wednesday morning we would go that night, stay in a hotel, do Disneyland all day Thursday (9am-11pm) and then just drive home all night Thursday to avoid another hotel stay and get the kids to school Friday(I will tell you how that plan went later).  We made blankets for Project Linus for the "give a day, get a day" program that Disney was offereing this year.  I have been wanting to go for a while now since I had never even ridden the Indiana Jones ride (due to my pregnant state the last time we went) and this looked like the only chance we would have to go in the near future so we took it!  We totally did it on the cheap (ie eating peanut butter sandwiches, bringing our own drinks, not buying souvenirs, etc) but the kids still loved it!
{Imagine that}

Waiting for
Finding Nemo Submarines

Here are the kids on
Autopia

(This was the picture Scott got of his car- Emmy was mad because she just lost paper rock scissors to Macey for who got to drive twice, but Tate sure is loving driving)

The Circus Train
(because Tate insisted we were going to Disneyland for a train ride)
This is Scott irritated we are on the train ride...

It's a Small World
A classic.
They have obviously re-done it-it's much brighter and there are now Disney characters stuck in here and there, but the song has not a changed a bit!
It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small small world!
Try and keep that out of your mind!
(now go ahead and sing it while I take you thru the ride in pictures)

It was 12:30 and the bell chimed and these little figures came out.  Scott swears they have always been there but I have never seen them.  Something fun while you are waiting in line.

Are you still singing?
{the weather was perfect}

TOONTOWN
Mickey was actually in his house!
Buzz Lightyear
Just nevermind the scores:)
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even though the Matterhorn was closed and Indiana Jones, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain kept breaking down.  We rode eveything we wanted to as many times as we wanted and the most we waited was 20 MINUTES (actually the kids and Scott ended up waiting like 40 minutes for a litte ride in toon town)!

So we were all dead tired after a looong day {14hours} at Disneyland.  The kids fell asleep pretty quickly and so did I.  I kept waking up making sure Scott was OK.  Eventually he was done and I just could not keep my eyes open to keep him awake anymore so we pulled over like the truckers and took a nap and tried to keep going, but after a little while we needed to pull over again and sleep some more.
We were sooo t i r e d.
The sun started coming up so I figured I'd be better and Scott needed to rest so he could go to work for they day.  I never dozed off but my eye lids were really heavy.  We made it home at about 8am and the kids were wiped out so they stayed home, but Scott still had to go to work-poor guy. I took a long nap and went to bed by 10:30 and I have NEVER fallen asleep that fast-I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow. Now, Saturday, we are feeling the effects of Disneyland jet lag.
[Claire was unable to attend this trip due to her heighth :) We will definately be ready to go back when she is tall enough to enjoy all of the rides though!]

Oh Olympics

How I LOVE thee.

No offense winter olympics, I LOVE the summer olympics more, but I still enjoy you.

I can feel all of the nerves, worries, mad skill and emotions just oozing from the TV.

I LOVE the commercials and the backstories.

I LOVE hearing OUR National Anthem from the medals podium the most.

I LOVE the opening ceremonies (although this year, not so much)

and by the end....

I LOVE the closing ceremonies which mean back to regular programming.

Carrying On

This article totally summed up how I generally feel-especially lately....overwhelmed with the "urgent" things that take up the whole day...too much to "stop and smell the roses".  Treading water, juggling too many balls, I could go on and on.  If you have a solution let me know.

Happy Valentine's Day-Love, Macey

Rainbow Car Game

ROY G BIV
Emmy is always wanting to play a game in the car when we are driving to gymnastics.

Since I was sick of playing I spy and 20 questions I came up with this...

You find cars in the order of the rainbow-a red car, an orange car, a yellow car etc.

They love it.
Even Tate thinks he is playing when he sees cars and yells out their colors.

Purple and pink are the hardest.

And now I find every orange, yellow, purple and pink car out there, just not when I need them to win the game.

Pardon the Interruption

Sorry for the interruption

I neglected to pay the Blogspot bill.

Ok just kidding

That just sounded better than the computer crashed again and I have been lazy.

I had to go to someone elses blog to get to my blog-how sad is that.

I DO want people to visit this blog so I had a thought-

{If you post they will come}

So, that's what I'm going to do.

Hopefully you keep coming back and I can keep it up because the gaps in my blog book are going to be pretty pathetic if I don't.
