Black Friday {2009}

This was the crowd/line that I was fighting on the day after Thanksgiving (aka Black Friday)...

Notice how they are all lined up for the sink?

The line wrapped all the way around to the stove!

Trust me when I say there was no line to take care of them!

My Baby is {2}

She is so funny. She kept wanting to lick the cupcake even when the candles were lit. Following the Williamson (really Phillips because it comes from me) tradition keeping the hands clean:). Don't worry, eventually she dove in with one finger!

{loving her baby}

Opening her presents was pretty funny. She kept trying to put things in instead of getting the presents out!

Here is a video that I think epitomizes Claire at age {2}....

[could you hear me laughing? so hilarious]

  • She {loves} babies and stuffed animals and wants them all.
  • She loves the trampoline and can now actually jump with 2 feet! She jumps on that thing every day!
  • She screams and squirms the whole time I try to curl her hair which is just torture for the both of us. So, I just cut it all off so it can look semi decent without it having to be curled. That or ridiculously butchered:) No one has said anything either way!
  • She still loves her 2 fingers and her green silky blanket.
  • She can climb out of her crib now and can usually be found 1 of 2 places: Macey's bed or playing in the bathroom.
  • She loves her family, every single person and will usually run excitedly to you saying your name (in her own language of course)when you have been gone. A great welcome home. So sad to leave her pouty face because she wants to go with you.
  • She loves to play outside riding and playing along with her older brother and sisters-she thinks she is so big.

Claire is just an absolute {joy} to have in our family and we are glad that we have her!

Today On My Baptism Day

Emmy was lucky enough to get bapized on her actual 8th birthday and have the baptism all to herself so it was a really special day.
***ammendment to program-Bishop Rob Topol conducted not Brother Broschinsky.****

We were also lucky enough to get the hottest ticket in town...Kim Skinner's photography!

{enjoy}

Emmy's {8th} Birthday

Saturday was a big day for Emmy. She turned {8}!

Which means she got baptized and gets a "friend" birthday party. She has been excited for months. I kept hoping she would pick one of the options that involved someone else doing the work, but alas she picked the plain old party at home with games and cake and ice cream.

There were relay races, nail painting and pass the package!

hApPy 8th BiRtHdAy Emmy!

Cake Wrecks

I love this blog. Check it out and keep scrolling back to the baby ones. So hilarious. I can't believe people would actually make and try to sell these things (or buy them)!
******
Here are a few "cake wrecks" I found while shopping at Mall of America. Courtesy of the Nestle Toll House Cafe. I think they should just stick to chocolate chips!

It's a Girl! Why is the icing forest green, red, black and dark purple then? And are those rattles(?) crying?
And it took me a while to guess what these 6 legged things were....
Oh ya those are supposed to be bees! With no wings and oh look at the baby whose legs haven't formed yet! Ahhhh cute! (snicker, snicker)

Ahhh together forever! A ball and chain? Really? I suppose this one is not that bad in the picture but in person the foot and leg were not recognizable (is that a word?). It looked more like a drumstick (you know the ones you see at the fair?).

Mall of {America}

I have only flown twice in my life and they were both before I graduated high school. Now before the end of this year I will have had 16 take-offs and landings between our trip to Vegas, Mall of America and San Diego in a couple of weeks! Whew! This is a lot for someone who does not particularly enjoy flying. It's getting better with the more I do it, but I still stress at every little bump and turn-I don't think that will ever go away. So happy to be home safe and sound!

This was our hotels inside courtyard. It was so neat although the door to your hotel was these glass doors. At first it seems neat, but then when kids are running back and forth in the morning and you can hear them loud and clear, it's not so fun. Or when you are not dressed and the maid lady looks right in. Ya, not so neat! Anyways, the hotel had the best darkening shades I have ever seen! It was as dark as night when they were shut, so if weren't for those kids, we probably never would've gotten up that first morning!
My mom and sister in front of the hotel while we were waiting for the shuttle.

We literally ate the hotels yummy breakfast every morning, shopped all day and then went to bed only to do it again the next day. We shopped for a total of about [24hours] and we barely covered the whole mall and that was skipping all of the department stores. It was so tiring and my feet were killing me-why didn't I bring my flip-flops?!?!?!?!? This place is HUGE!To give you an idea...there are 3 floors of stores all around an entire amusement park with a ferris wheel, carousel, and several roller coasters and the mall also has a miniature golf course and an aquarium in it!
*****
Some of our highlights were the Noodles & Company (ate there every day-yummm), H&M, Old Navy, teasing the shuttle drivers and Australian tourists, & much more! We also learned that if you see something you like at Nordstrom Rack-buy it because it won't be there when you go back the next day. We learned that with a dress for Emmy and a pair of shoes Shannon wanted. With all of the stuff in there that was really a surprise to us that it would move that fast.

Now, I realize this trip sounds so dumb to some, especially when we do have most of the stores here in AZ. It was a girls outting and there is nothing like shopping all the stores you love and more in one place-kidless. I loved it at can say I've been there now!

Milk Does A Body Good

I think they mean if you [drink] it!
Claire came to me one day looking like this. Just like nothing had happened. She kept licking the chocolate milk off of her face. Yummmmmm!

This video isn't very exciting but it shows the chair!

I don't even know where she got the chocolate milk from! She was obviously not drinking it!

* Ok I realize posting this probably makes people think my kids just run around unsupervised and making messes all over ( remember this? ) . But we just can't watch them every minute and those are the minutes they do these kinds of things. 2yr olds are very fast and naughty:)
