If you can't stand the HEAT, get out of the KITCHEN
So, now we are back home, and as far as the kitchen, I have been in it all morning between cleaning, making cinnamon rolls (1st time I have ever made them-thanks for the recipe Michelle), cutting up cataloupes, watermelon, pineapple, making myself a breakfast smoothie and now the kids want cheese cut up for crackers and Miracle Whip and I am waiting for the second rising of the cinnamon rolls to finish so that I can do the next step. I anticipate the cinnamon rolls being finished around 1:30 or so by the time they finish the last rising and get baked. Just in time for me to head out to a play with my parents, then dinner, then we are taking the kids to see Kung-Fu Panda if all goes as planned. Whew! Can't wait to get out tonight for nothing but fun!

Au Naturelle

(I still may decide these are creepy and delete this post, but they are here for now.)
Poor Mugsy

The kids had been playing with the inflatable pool toys all morning inside the house (they were new ones we just blew up) and somehow this zebra got in front of Mugsy's bed and he stepped through it and got stuck (that is what I am going with even though there is a possibility that Tate put it on him, I am not sure because it was right in front of his bed so it is totally possible that he stepped into it). We were all laughing so hard (his front legs are both through it and he was walking around with it around him) as I ran for the camera Macey was yelling "Mom you have to put this on our catalog"!
Plan B
Then, since Scott is working all night tonight and I had Bunco, I was not going to cook. We went to get the free burritos from Chipotle, but the line was so long we went to Plan B which was Pizza Hut at Target. Then I brought the kids back with the babysitter and I was off to Bunco.
It was one of those days that do not happen as often as they probably should, where I just kind of let things flow, the house is dirty and all of the kids are crashed out since they are so exhausted from the days activities, but we had some fun through it all.

Havasupai trip
This last weekend Scott and I were away hiking Havasupai. It's a really long hike that borders on torturous. But the destination is so beautiful I would say that everyone should do it at least once in their lives. The picture above is the main falls by the campgrounds, but there are 2 other falls that you can hike to that are just as beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The first time I ever did it was when I was pregnant with Emmy. Yes, I did it pregnant so you could do it too. The hike in is not that bad really, but the hike out is really HARD I won't lie! When I was pregnant I took a horse out and I would say that that is also pretty hard on you as well so splurge on the helicopter ride like Shelley did this time.
This is a group picture of everyone that went minus Caleb and Shelley since she had not flown up in the helicopter yet. Steve and Kim came down from Utah since this trip was organized a surprise for Steve's birthday since he had never been before. Thank goodness for them and the Burleys or I would have been hiking all by my lonesome. All and all it was good trip.
Note to self: IF there is a next time bring chairs, cups, hard coolers with ice in them, packets of drink mix to flavor the water, toilet paper, baby wipes, bring things to do in the down time (ie book to read, cards, etc), stay down there at least one more day to recover and enjoy before hiking out (we drove up Thursday and stayed at the top and then hiked in Friday morning, and hiked out Sunday morning).
