When Scott gets his mind set on an idea there is no stopping him.
Today he just had to go and get some of these....
Ya those are little chicks that grow into chickens.
a)they eat scorpions
b)they produce eggs which we love so they are also part of our food supply:)
c) Everyone else in the neighborhood is doing it so why not?!?!?
It was so cute to watch Claire because she just kept reaching out her hands and making a noise trying to get the chickens to come to her but she didn't actually want to hold them when we tried to help her.
See the hands?

We did that same thing a few years ago. FYI: Wash hands thoroughly after handling the chickens especially when they are laying their eggs. There is a bacteria out there called Campylobacter Jujenie SP? It is spread through the feces of chickens and other animals. My oldest contracted it and she was hospitalized for 3 days. As long as they are washing good you should have NO problems!!!! Enjoy them, they are so cute. It will make them better chickens too if you handle them often.
So fun! Lots of people in our ward have bought chickens for the same reason! I would LOVE to get some chickens, but don't want our dog to eat them! So in order to get Kelly to build me a coop, he has to finish our house first! LOL Good luck! They are so fun!
Mugsy tried to eat one... ypu say that so non-chelantly(sp?)Amd it died... sad
Awww they are SO cute! I think they're a good idea, especially the scorpion-eating part.
I'm so jealous! Jane will sit there forever and watch the little video of Claire.
