Lost and Found
Another thing that has been LOST around here, and unfortunately NOT FOUND yet, is my wedding ring. I know Scott takes this a disregard for money, but it really is not. I always take it off when I go to bed or shower and I really only put it on if I am going somewhere. With camping last week and something before that, it has been several weeks before I have even put it on so of course I can not even remember when I last saw it. I have looked several times and still have not found it. I will really have to tear this place apart, but like most things I am sure that it will show up where I least expect it and would never even realize to look (crossing my fingers). This is another one of those things I should be doing, along with painting the bathroom (no I have not finished it yet), and blah blah blah blah. School starts on Monday :-)!

What to do
- Laundry-somehow all of the towels in our house are dirty, amazing in itself because I am not sure who has been showering around here.
- cleaning the house-the never ending job, but this summer it just has never gotten to a satisfactory point since the kids are home all day and it is like a weight on my shoulders that I do not think will be lifted until the kids go back to school (counting down).
- Undoing all of the clutter from the kids "cleaning" (I use that term losely). It really bothers me everytime I see it yet, it remains.
- Cleaning out the kids rooms-the girls need there clothes and shoes gone through and weed out all of the ones that do not fit anymore or are beyond wearing. All toys need to be out of Tate's rooms since all he does is dump them all out and play with then while he is supposed to be sleeping.
- Going shopping. School supplies, groceries, school clothes, clothes for me, Macey's birthday party, baptism dress for Macey. Another never ending list. I really wish it did not take money to live (ok I just wish it grew on trees)!
- I want to revamp my blog and am not exactly sure how to do it so I have been avoiding it.
Instead I am doing this and have been doing this all summer...
- Watching the Young & the Restless. Something really big is going to happen tomorrow. A huge waist of time I realize, but it sounds better than the above list most of the time.
- Checking my email and google reader over and over hoping for something new.
- Napping. My eyes are really heavy right now. As soon as Claire's runny nose clears up it is time to get her to sleep through the night.
- Eating. Eating way to much. Back to exercising and eating less when school begins.

Our little trip

I had invited several people, but it was last minute and this seemed to be the busiest week for everyone so we were by ourselves most of the week. There has been evidence of mountain lions on the mountain so I could not just let the kids run free by themselves like we have in the past so they resorted to watching movies and crafting most of the time. We were glad that our neighbors made it up on Thursday. Once they were there the kids got to do all the stuff they like to do up there with the second set of adult hands. We had a good time getting out of town to cooler weather and having the cabin all to ourselves:-)! We are back and now down to business getting ready for school, Macey's birthday and baptism coming up! Good times!Friday, July 11, 2008
Morning Rain
I love it when it rains! Scott left for work late today because of all the rain so he was still here when Tate woke up. He said that Tate went straight to the back door and was stairing at this big puddle in our backyard, so he let him out there to play. All of the kids ended up playing out there for like an hour. Notice in the picture below, Claire loves to sit at the back door and watch whatever the kids are doing back there.

Popsicles for Dinner. Why not?

4th of July 2008

The "guys" talking about sports, of course. This is video of Scott throwing the kids. They had fun with that for a while and then Scott needed a break.
This is a video of my dad doing a "can opener" (there was actually debate wether it is called a jack knife or not). Unfortunately I did not catch it the first time he did it. I am not sure who actually won the splash contest between the guys.
Then we headed home for naps and showers for everyone. Then at the last minute we finally made the decision to head up to Globe to check out their fireworks show. I was anticipating a week show and regret that we went up there, but it ended up being the exact opposite. There was plenty of space to find a parking spot in the Wal Mart parking lot (ya kind of white trash, huh) where the fireworks were being shot up on the hill of the mine across the street. They were really close and great! They lasted at least 30min. and were great! Afterwards people were honking their horns to say great job to the people doing the show and they replied by holding some sort of red sparkler thing. It was so cool to see these little people way up on the hill. It was awesome and it will now be a tradition of ours. The whole town shuts down so next time we are going to get there earlier and BBQ and everything, but the best part.....
Can you see that? 72 degrees! The weather was great! Not one sweat drop was seen!
