The "King of Pop" is Dead

I just had to document the untimely passing of Michael Jackson. Although I have never been a huge fan or die hard, it is impossible to deny his great musical talent and ability which has unfortunately been overshadowed by all of his bizarre and outrageous stunts in the most recent past.

All I can say is that it definitely makes me feel old when icons of my generation start passing away.

One of those days....

At 7am this morning Tate had his front tooth pulled (this was the 2nd attempt).

The last time he had the sedation and he slept for 4 hours.

NOT THIS TIME!

He has been awake all day and the crankiest child ever

-especially for him because he is usually so easy.

The best part of today-I got my hair cut :-)

Claire barely napped.

Then this happened....

This was Tate and Claire's idea of fun.

Only 2 cushions were spared.

Now guess who is coming tomorrow morning?

The kids are banished to their rooms.

Got Antibodies?

We took a little trip to Hobby Lobby today where Macey was being very {helpful} and pushing the cart with Tate in it while I held Claire. As Tate was apparently trying to put something in his mouth I overheard Macey saying this to Tate....

In a high pitched "mommy" voice....."Tate that has germs on it. If your body doesn't have enough antibodies you get sick, but with this you would get sick no matter what it is so bad."

I thought it was so funny. Obviously they learned the science part of it at school and she was trying to teach it to Tate and he had no idea what she was talking about. I didn't even see what they were talking about, but I had a little "mommy" giggle after I heard it.

Memorial Day {2009}

Of course our [cheap & easy] getaway standby is always the Williamson cabin. I know. I am sure you are sick of the pictures but there is always something new! The weather was great and the sun (or lack there of) was perfect for picture taking.

We took a little drive down to

Reynolds Creek and put our toes in.

The highlight was this butterfly.

Scott started it and I rushed to grab my camera to get that shot, but as we found out, this butterfly was not going anywhere.

Amy couldn't even get it off of her!

In Honor of Jay

Since Jay Leno is down to his last show tomorrow I had to reminisce.

This is seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
