{Best Blueberry Muffins Ever}

I agree, except for Paradise Bakery's blueberry banana muffins, but who could compete with those. That is actually what the recipe is called and I wrote it down out of a magazine at a Dr.'s office or something and finally had a chance to try them out. I made them yesterday and the kids and I have been eating them any chance we get. It made 2 & 1/2 dozen muffins.

Best Blueberry Muffins Ever

2C flour

2tsp baking powder

1tsp salt

4 large eggs

16oz. sour cream

10 Tbsp unsalted butter

2C old fashioned rolled oats

2C blueberries (if frozen don't thaw)

2Tbsp sugar

1. Heat oven to 375.

2. Line muffin tins.

3. In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder ,baking soda, and salt, set aside.

4. In a medium sauce pan, over medium heat, melt together butter and brown sugar about 3 minutes. Cool for about 5 minutes stirring frequently.

5. Meanwhile, in a large bowl beat eggs with Sour Cream, until thoroughly combined.

6. Beat sugar mixture into egg mixture.

7. Stir in oats.

8. Fold in flour.

9. Gently fold in berries.

10. Fill cups 3/4 full. Sprinkle a pinch of sugar on top of each muffin.

11. Bake 25-28 minutes or until edges are medium brown and tops firm. Cool for 5min.

Busy 7 month old

Claire turned 7mo. old on the 24th. She has been crawling all around and now she is on to pulling herself up on everything. The floor is now too boring for her. I can not keep her away from the table and chairs, I just have to keep taking her down and getting her out from under the chairs. I am pretty sure she will be walking by 9mo. like Macey and Emmy were, but you never know with kids they are all so different. Everyone in the house is enjoying this age. No one can walk by her with out kissing her, picking her up or squeezing her.(hopefully you can look past those devil eyes, I tried to correct them, but they looked just as bad)

Here is a shot of those evasive little teeth. I only got this shot on accident:-)! Now that she has those teeth she does not want much to do with baby food and constantly grabs for whatever we have.

I am a scrapbooker again!

I started saying I could not be called a scrapbooker anymore because it had been so long since I actually completed a page-I'm talking years. This weekend my mom and I had a scrapbooking craft day all Saturday. By the end of the day I think we did more eating than crafting, but it was a nice time out of the house. We tried breakfast at the Olive Mill (unimpressed), lunch at the new BBQ place (yummy), and Serrano's for some dessert, but ended up ordering enchiladas (the usual Queen Creek experience, even good chains are bad in Queen Creek). I focused on Tate's pictures. Here are the pages I did this weekend. I am doing 8x8 albums and keeping them simple so that I can ge them done and hopefully down the road they will still be cute.

Out to Lunch

My friend finally joined the blogging world after much resistance to conform so I had to post about our day out yesterday. The kids and I went to lunch with my friend, Erin, and her kids, which we do once every couple of years it seems like. We just stayed simple and went with McDonald's so that the kids could play and we could just chat. We had a really good time. Her kids are so grown up and really great kids, we need to see them more often. They were so good about helping me with all of my kiddos who are still at the ages where they always need something. After lunch we had to go check out, my favorite, Hobby Lobby. It was great of course, but I had to skip about 25% of the store because I refused to look at Christmas decorations when it is still 110 degrees! Thanks guys, for a fun day!

Flashback Friday

I finally found this picture! This is Macey and Garrett Norris at a ward rodeo when we were still in the same ward as Cambria. This was totally unposed (maybe the smiles were), they were just sitting in the middle of the pasture talking and playing. This is when we were chatting with the Norris' and found out that Macey and Garrett were born on the same exact day (7/31)! I think they were probably 2 almost 3 (Becky?) in this picture. Hard to believe they are almost 8 now and about to be bapatized!

Must See TV

Mondays on ABC @ 9:00PM

I have mentioned this show before as one of the shows that was taken off the air even though it was a good show. I keep forgetting to post this, but it is back on the air and if you have not seen it yet, try it for at least 2 weeks and you will be hooked. It is a reality show where there is a group of people (we are down to 8) that perform these tasks that add money to the pot that the winner will win. Among them is a "mole", someone that is sabotaging missions (in the past it has been very slight and can go undetected) and causing less money to be added to the pot. At the end of every episode they take a quiz and if you know who the mole is you would get all of the questions right, but whoever misses the most questions is eliminated. I just love this show and I am excited it is back. It tests you to notice every detail and try to figure it out. They usually have hidden clues everywhere, in the shows openings, numbers, it ends up that everything is right there telling you who it is and at the end they go back and show you all of it and you can not believe you missed it! I have a widget on the side of my blog that gives some clues and stuff. You can even go to the website and watch the 1st 3 episodes (I am pretty sure).

The events of last night

First, the play, Dear Ruth, was great. I highly recommend attending a play at the Hale Theatre if you have not been. It is very intimate and you are very close to the stage and can see every detail. That is precisely what made the play so funny last night when one of the actors walked in and his zipper was down and every bend opened the "door". I was seriously about to yell out XYZ when he sat down and noticed and said "oh, pardon me" and then everyone was laughing hysterically and jokes were thrown in about it all night. I am sure the poor guy was mortified, but it was hilarious. The play was already a comedy so it just made it funnier. They also announced their 2009 schedule and one of the plays will be Beauty and the Beast and that will be a must see for me.
Second, dinner at Logan's Roadhouse with just my parents and I. It's very similar to Texas Roadhouse which is one of my favorites. It was yummy as usual!

Third, was Kung-Fu Panda with Scott and the kids and it was pretty funny. Claire has been fine in the past when I have taken her to the morning kids movies so, I thought she would be fine. Well, she was not crying, but she had figured out how to do this high pitched scream and proceeded to do it all night. She has always been a talker, but this was a new sound for her and I could not get her to stop so, I had to stand and hold her by the door the whole time so I could still watch most of the movie. A side note, she was also spitting up like a fountain after she drank 8oz of bottle and that is why she still drinks only a 4oz bottle.

Fourth and final event of the night was at home. Our neighbor has been bugging us about this wasps (Scott actually showed me online that they are called mud daubers and they are not aggressive) nest. I had the bug guy spray it on Tuesday and we have never seen activity in it so at about 10:00PM Scott decides he needs to go up there and remove it. It was in this little vent that is either for our dryer or the bathroom I'm not sure. So, Scott was up on the fence and I was on the ground shining the flash light for him and of course that is the precise moment when 2 Sherriff cars drive around the corner with their spotlights. Of course they slowed down, but kept going. Scott needed something different to get the hive out so I went to the garage and opened it and I noticed they had stopped down the road and decided they should come check it out. They walked down and Scott had gotten down and came to talk to them. They asked what we were doing so we told them and of course they thought we were weird, but atleast we had shown them we lived here by opening the garage. Then they asked how long we have lived here and if we had any problems with any neighbors or anything and we don't so they moved on. The nosey gossip side of me was not satisfied that they knew about something and were obviously patrolling with their spotlights shinging on everything for something and we could not get them to tell us. I guess it made me feel a little safer that atleast they were patrolling the area.

So, the goal was achieved and fun was had by all.
P.S. the cinnamom rolls turned out yummy! If you want the recipe go to the Mclure's blog on my friends and family list.
