Memorial Day {2009}

Of course our [cheap & easy] getaway standby is always the Williamson cabin. I know. I am sure you are sick of the pictures but there is always something new! The weather was great and the sun (or lack there of) was perfect for picture taking.

We took a little drive down to
Reynolds Creek and put our toes in.

The highlight was this butterfly.

Scott started it and I rushed to grab my camera to get that shot, but as we found out, this butterfly was not going anywhere.

Amy couldn't even get it off of her!

the boys threw rocks all weekend

(sorry Todd & Sarah-this is why Tyler is limping)

Claire {loved} it too!

of course there was finger sucking...

of course there was shoulder rides...

of course there was 4 wheeler rides for all...

some other token shots...

Scott's work of "art"...

In Honor of Jay

Since Jay Leno is down to his last show tomorrow I had to reminisce.
This is seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
Laugh out loud funny!
I will miss this bit, but thankfully I can find them all on youtube!
I have no idea how to get the video on here so click HERE to see the video.
This was one of my favorites!!!

Partay!

There is 2 hours left of the last day of school [as I type].
Yesterday was party day in the classrooms so we joined in Emmy's class party. We have loved Mrs. Ruckle. She always makes it so easy for me to come help because she doesn't mind if I bring the kids! Plus she is a great teacher and great with the kids!
I would have taken another one if I had realized Mrs. Ruckle's eyes were shut!

We had pizza...They made a craft...Notice my Sonic ice water?!?!?

There was also ice cream, the movie Bolt, and games.
Emmy has learned so much this year and made some {good friends}. She is ready for 2nd grade!
Moving on to sum sum summertime!
{Things to look forward to this summer}
family reunions (Utah & New Mexico)
summer movies
swimming
gymnastics
popsicles
& whatever else we decide to throw in there!

Tooth Removal Method #3

The other day [5-20-09] I took Macey her lunch money and Emmy was in the office when we came in. She ran to Claire and picked her up and Claire's head hit Emmy's mouth popping her tooth out! It was bloody and she said it hurt, but the dentist said it was ready. The dentist said she needed to get it out because it was starting to get inflamed-so she did!

The Fruits of Our Labor

I only say "our" because I did go out and pick some of the peaches. This is the last of what was on our tree. We had already picked and eaten several bowls of peaches before this. This was the rest of them. And they were turned into this...They were too ripe to can so I turned them into fruit leather. MMmMMMmmM.

This is what we have to look forward to on the apple tree. Can you say applesauce?

From one Mother to Another

Happy Mother's Day
to all you mothers out there (especially my mom and MIL)!!!
A couple of questions/suggestions needed from all my mother friends...

#1-From my non-reading mother friends....A BOOK SUGGESTION... I need a book that is simple to understand/easy to read and really good. I hate reading and the only books I have read in my whole life have been the Twilight books and I read them all in a week, but could not get into or finish The Host. I guess I would also like it to have some undying love (pun intended, hahahaha, Cracking Myself Up). I don't really want to have to think about what I am reading or have a big vocabulary. Is there anything else out there for me to read while I am passing time waiting for Emmy at gymnastics???

#2- From my organized mother friends....How do you organize your PHOTOS?...By year?kid?event? Although my picture supply is not growing as fast in this digital age, I still have not been able to figure out how to organize my pictures. They are currently (and have been for weeks now) in a huge mess on the floor of my bedroom. I have photo boxes and a labeler, but just can't seem to figure out what would be best. Please let me know what works for you? A couple of examples of why I can not choose one way...I have Easter pictures, but there happens to be a cute picture of Claire...does that go under Claire or Easter?

#3- How do you handle a difference in style between you and your daughters??? I just took Macey shopping and I just about gagged at some/most of the things she liked. Some of the things, there is no way I will spend money on them, but I also think that she should be able to have her own sense of style, so what do you do????

Pants for Sale, Anyone?

I was parusing Target and ran acorss these. OK. So I am not "fashion forward", but come on. These pants are hideous. I hope none of you have or plan on buying these MC Hammer pants. These should never ever be back in fashion. Ever. And the "gold" color makes them extra special.
